Lover of Venus

Lover of Venus is a collection of poems dedicated to the Ace of Hearts, the tragic masked enemy who loved her more than any other man. Hopefully it may grow larger one day. If you would like to submit a poem, please send it to jovianprincess@yahoo.com.

Lover of Venus (Title Poem) : Minako's Sorrow

Lover of Venus
By Kotono

Venus, lovely, etched in stars
Your face: a flower blooming gold
Those eyes forever left a scar
To taunt me of a daydream old

Unreachable: your destiny:
To live forever beyond touch
Why, my love, that fate decree
While I pine for you this much?

A wheel of fate now broken lies
This tortured end so sorrow-clad
Still a voice within me cries,
"Why was it you I could not have?"

Still spellbound to this perfect angel's light
My heart laments, then fades into the night

Minako's Sorrow
By VBabe

My heart breaks as you walk away,
Futher into the darkness than before,
My lips ache for what was given,
As I turn to face you on stage.

Only then do I find the truth,
Protecting you instead of she whom I have given my life to,
This can't be!

You...you are...my enemy?

I cry out into the wind as past comes to life,
You were good once but then turned evil,
I pray that you may become truly good in your next life,
As I turn towards you again.

On the ledge you fall, tears flowing over my face,
"Why," I whisper,
"You don't love me," you reply,
"You loved him instead."

"Let me tell you your final love fortune," you say, raising your card,
"Your love will be hopeless for all eternity," you sigh and let go of the edge,
Leaving me for eternity to cry over you.

I pick up the card, Ace of Hearts.

Wither away...
